The enneagram
The Enneagram is an incredibly insightful tool for self-awareness, personal growth, and spiritual development. This seemingly simple symbol is actually a complex roadmap that can indicate where you are, where you have been, and how to return home to your true, authentic self. This is one of my favorite tools to work with, as there is so much we can understand about ourselves through our number and its stress and growth points. I have been studying the Enneagram since 2019 and I learn more and more every time I have the opportunity to explore it with someone!
An important component of the Enneagram that I examine is your growth point (the against arrow in the Enneagram image on this page), for example, I'm a 3 and my growth point is the 6. This is often the type you were before you became the adult type you are now. We move into the type you are now out of stress, likely during our school-age years, as this is a time when we are highly influenced by caregivers, peers, and the institutions we are raised in (school, religious organizations, etc.). During this period, many of us experience criticism, rejection, or even abandonment, resulting in us receiving the message that we are somehow not good enough. To address this vulnerability, we conform or compensate to feel safe and secure with those we depend on and want to belong with. This moves us into our stress point, our unnatural way of being. Remaining in this place for an extended period makes us forget how we used to be and we eventually assume this is our true nature, or at least the nature we've become accustomed to, given our lived experiences, relationships, and environment. |
To give you a brief example, when I was about 6 years old, I remember my mom saying that I moved "slow as molasses". I remembered she would get frustrated when I would hide behind her when meeting new people or doing something new. I never wanted to "put myself out there" and remember freezing on stage when my parents enrolled me in dance at school (type 6). As a result of their response to my way of being, I adapted and compensated by becoming a seemingly fearless, efficient, multitasking, overachiever (type 3) who forgot how to recognize my feeling and needs because I had to put them aside to be better received by my caregivers. After several periods of burnout, it's taken me years to begin naming my feelings and to put my needs first. As a 3, I didn't realize I was overextended until I was depleted and exhausted. Looking back, I remember being triggered when I perceived others being needy and expressing emotion. I now realized that was a clue. My not-self type 3 was recognizing my unsafe type 6 former self in those people and it put me on edge. Those moments were a mirror for me, an invitation to heal and become my true self again.
Understanding our first self, is knowing our true self. This is essential for reuniting with our authentic way of being, and, in being authentic, we cause less wear and tear on our emotional and physical bodies, resulting in less health issues, more meaningful relationships, and overall greater life satisfaction. I could go on and on with examples, but I'll pause here and summarize the primary offerings of the Enneagram.

Numerology
Numerology is a fascinating science that makes so much sense to me! It involves calculating the sum of the digits in your birthdate and your name, both as it appears on your birth certificate and through any name changes. These sums reveal everything from your life path, your soul and personality, and your destiny. Most people experience their numerology reading to be highly accurate and helpful in understanding their intentions and lessons for this lifetime. The premise is your Soul chose your birth date and your name (and any name changes) intentionally to provide the numbers that write the experiences it wanted to have in order to develop spiritually. Being incarnated as a human is a great way for souls to develop specific skills for their evolutionary journey. A numerology reading provides you with the outline for your most intentional and rewarding lived experience.

The book, Your Soul Contract Decoded, offers a specific form of Numerology that uses the Hebrew alphabet to decipher the agreements your Soul made with other souls in order to reconcile Karma, use specific talents, and accomplish goals. This type of reading includes specific strategies for you to heal and grow as a spiritual being and is a fantastic companion to a traditional numerology reading.

The Enneagram & Numerology
You may be wondering if the Enneagram and Numerology connect and even align in some ways. My answer is Yes! I think they do. There isn't a whole lot of information out there on this connection, but my research and work with clients has shown they are at the very least complimentary. From my perspective, at first glance, the Enneagram typically reveals our Ego persona, that is, the way we project and protect ourselves out in the world. For example, I'm an Enneagram type 3 and my Ego loves to protect me from feeling shame, which is largely caused by the belief that I'm worthless. Because of this, my Ego projects me out into the world as a capable and competent person who has earned all the degrees, completed all the trainings, and read all the books to be thoroughly knowledgable so that I can be seen as valuable in the eyes of others. It makes sure I am equipped to compete with others for the job, title, client, etc.
If we go deeper, beneath my Ego is my true personality, the me I was when I was little, before about age 7, when life usually gets ahold of us and takes us away from our authentic selves. As my authentic self, I am an Enneagram 6, my growth point. This understanding of the Enneagram is known as the Soul Child Theory, that our true type is our growth point. This theory arises from the belief and experience that childhood is stressful and our initial type moves to our stress point during our school age years. If we are lucky, we can realize this and return home to our true personality, where we feel more authentic and at peace in life. I can go on and on about this theory and love teaching people about it in my trainings and workshops.
Connecting this information to Numerology, my life path is a 6 with the theme of nurturing relationships. That is much more aligned with the Enneagram 6 than the 3. As a type 3, I am all about me, I find that relationships get in the way of me achieving my goals. In my authentic 6 type, I thrive in close, intimate relationships where I feel safe and supported. While the characteristics of an Enneagram 6 and Numerology 6 don't fully align, I see enough resemblance to believe their influence is similar. I plan to do more research on these similarities and differences in future publications.
I have much more to say on this topic. Please reach out if you'd like a combined reading and we can see how your numbers align.

Soul Realignment Through The Akashic Records
An Akashic Records Reading add a whole other dimension to the work I do with clients. If you're unfamiliar, the Akashic Records are a 5th dimension energetic database of all beings for all time - I heard it once referred to as God's Memory.
The type of Akashic Records Reading I am trained in is called Soul Realignment. The intention is to help us understand the Soul, from its origination, and realign us to live out our Soul's plan for this lifetime. The Akashic Records help us have continuity through lifetimes so that the soul can continue lessons, balance karma, and redirect itself back to its mission when needed. Before incarnating, our Souls meet with their Guides to plan their next experiential sessions here on Earth. The Soul creates contracts with its Soul Group to fulfill these lessons, meaning those we are here with on Earth have agreed to be part of our experience so that we can learn and grow. That is what life is all about, Earth is a school, and a playground, to experience life events, relationships, and ourselves in ways that allow us to expand into our next level of being. |
A Soul Realignment Reading using the Akashic Records is useful for:
- Understanding yourself at soul-level.
- Realigning yourself with your Soul's intentions for this lifetime.
- Clearing blocks and restrictions that are limiting your ability to complete your soul-level lessons.
- Understand negative karmic patterns that are keeping you stuck and going in the wrong direction in life so that you can make different choices and take action toward your Soul's intentional path for you.

Human Design
Human Design is a combination of the Kabbalah, I'Ching, Astrology, Hindu Chakra system, and Quantum Physics, and can provide us with a user manual for the energetic nature of our being. Like Astrology, it uses our date, time, and place of birth to calculate our energetic body's way of communicating and responding to the world outside us. Through a Human Design Reading you can learn the mechanics of your life force. Our bodies are in credibly wise and connected to our thoughts, emotions, and actions. Understanding our Human Design can reveal how we can best take care of our energetic needs, make decisions in alignment with our authentic nature, and how to know when we are in our "not-self", out of alignment with our optimum presence and functioning in life. Ultimately, this will help us live healthy, fulfilling lives.
One of my favorite ways to use Human Design, other than for myself of course!, is to know my children's design. Knowing their designs has helped me understand them better and work with their system, rather than against it. Feel free to request a free sample reading for your kiddo! |

Connecting the Pieces...
Simply put, I understand that our human experience is intentional and that it was carefully planned out and designed for our Soul's development as a spiritual being by our Soul and its Guides and the spiritual order of the Universe. Our Soul is a member of a Soul Group that helps each other develop by playing various roles for each other in each lifetime. You can read more about this in these books written by hypnotherapists who perform Past Life Regressions and document what souls share about life between lives:

When we're born, there is a veil that separates us from our connection to the spirit world so that we can be fully present in this experience of the physical world. I see it like when we're in school, we're focused and learning in the school environment and not usually directly connected and attending to our home environment. I believe the veil and the amnesia of our Soul's plan and our contracts is intentional to provide the optimum learning experience. As hypnotherapists note in their Past Lives Regression case studies, It would not be a test if you were give the answers.
