You may be here because something in your life or relationships doesn’t feel right. Maybe you understand where your struggles come from, but still find yourself repeating the same patterns. You've done your parts in the relationship, but still can't get the response you want.

I know how complicated it can feel to navigate change, relationships, and belonging. I grew up in China and have lived in the U.S. for the past ten years. Now, I'm pursuing my PhD degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My own experience has shaped the way I understand the many layers of identity, family expectations, relationships, and finding a place where you feel truly seen.

In therapy, we will slow things down and become curious about what is actually happening, not just what is “wrong.” I work with adult individuals, couples, and families. With individuals, we may focus on attachment, family experiences, relationship patterns, identity, life transitions, emotional struggles, and the feeling of being stuck between who you have been and who you want to become. I especially enjoy working with international and cross-cultural clients who may be navigating different expectations around family, relationships, culture, and belonging.

With couples and families, our work is often about what happens underneath the conflict. We may work on expressing needs in ways that can actually be heard, understanding the emotions behind defensiveness or withdrawal, creating healthier boundaries, and finding ways to stay connected even when you disagree. Rather than deciding who is right or wrong, I help you understand the patterns you get caught in and practice doing something different together.

If something here feels familiar, you are welcome to reach out. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you have been carrying things on your own for a long time.
