Developmental, Capacity-Based Psychotherapy
|
Starting therapy doesn’t require certainty. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on, how long it will take, or whether this is the “right” approach. It’s enough to notice that something in you is ready for support, or ready to stop doing it alone.
What to Expect When You Reach Out Scheduling a session is not a commitment to a process or a timeline, it’s an invitation to begin a conversation. When you reach out, we’ll focus on:
There is no pressure to decide everything at once. |
Initial Sessions
Early sessions are paced to support nervous system safety and orientation.
We take time to:
This is not an intake focused on extracting information, it’s a beginning, relational, responsive, and collaborative.
Ongoing Work
If we continue working together, sessions unfold at a pace your nervous system can inhabit. The focus is not on fixing, pushing, or optimizing. It’s on supporting internal authority, presence, and discernment over time. Some people come weekly, others biweekly, and some intermittently. Scheduling is discussed collaboratively and adjusted as needed.
Is This the Right Time?
You don’t need to be in crisis to begin this work. You also don’t need to have everything figured out.
This work is often a good fit if:
If you’re unsure, that uncertainty itself can be brought into the room.

This work is often a good fit if:
- You’ve done some work already and feel ready for something deeper
- You notice yourself externally referenced and want to trust your own signals more
- You’re open to slowing down rather than pushing for change
If you’re unsure, that uncertainty itself can be brought into the room.
