You may be familiar with taking things one day at a time. Yet, ask yourself when was the last time you took things one moment at a time?
That is something I believe we often need to do in life. We’re so often fixated on achieving the next big task that we miss the small wins in life or even patterns that are effecting us. I believe it’s not always true that we don’t know ourselves rather it’s that we forget ourselves. That can happen in a plethora of ways: having racing thoughts, unmanageable lives, people pleasing, psychological trauma, emotional exhaustion. While this may seem disheartening at first glance the hope is this, healing is still available. Healing does not always look linear but at the same time, progress and change is being made. |
I’ll work alongside you to help bring into your remembrance the authentic you.
While therapy can be uncomfortable for some, I will help guide you through being comfortable with being uncomfortable because in that process that is where we truly build resilience and embrace growth. My approach is a strength based approach with a solution focused mindset, not a “problem” focused mindset. I’ll utilize CBT, ACT, DBT and motivation interventions throughout the process. When in sessions you can expect thought provoking purpose driven questions to help build awareness.
With this awareness you will be able to identify patterns that are disturbing your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, interactions, and functioning. I’ve helped those who struggle with knowing their why, acceptance, life transitions, relationships, family trauma, avoidance, and more.
I understood early on the importance and impact therapy can have on an individual and family. That is what drove me to become a therapist. The family dynamic is one area that gets overlooked but it impacts an individual in many facets of their lives. If we can identify patterns from this lens, then you can personally identify or develop patterns that are effective to move you towards a life of stability.
A life of stability involves you taking it moment by moment. That includes you being ready for the next moment. I want you to remember this: ready is not a feeling, ready is a decision. With that being said, are you ready? If so, feel free to reach me at (407) 906-3358. Take care.
